Imagine a place where those who gave so much are given the space to heal and begin again.
Welcome to Karl’s House. Founded as a lasting gift in honor of Karl McMillen, Karl’s House is a transformative residential program created specifically for our service men and women.
Here, veterans begin a deeply personal journey toward rediscovering their strength and potential. With a clear focus on empowerment, Karl’s House provides comprehensive healthcare services to address wounds both seen and unseen.
With an emphasis on wellness, stability, and self-sufficiency, each veteran is supported at a pace that honors their individual path. Through recovery practices, career development, and financial preparation, they are equipped with the tools needed for lasting independence — when they are ready.
It is vital that we honor these heroes by offering not just assistance, but a foundation for rebuilding. Karl’s House stands beside them as they move forward with renewed hope and purpose — because veterans deserve more than a timeline. They deserve the opportunity to truly rebuild.
Support those who have supported our freedoms.
Meet the Founder
Chuck Campbell
Chuck Campbell is a healthcare executive, philanthropist, and nationally recognized recovery advocate whose life’s work centers on rehabilitation, prevention, and long-term impact. With over four decades of personal sobriety, his leadership is grounded in lived experience as much as professional expertise. He speaks at national conferences and conventions on substance use recovery, prevention, and mental health education, driven by a deep commitment to ensuring that recovery is supported by real systems, accountability, and meaningful opportunity.
Chuck is the stepson of Karl, a U.S. veteran whose service and values inspired the vision for Karl’s House. Together, they recognized the gaps facing veterans returning home and imagined a program rooted in structure, stability, and respect. Today, Chuck carries that vision forward through Karl’s House and through his broader philanthropic leadership as President and CEO of the McMillen Family Foundation, fulfilling what has long been both his passion and his life’s dream.
